Two cranes that I left as a thank you to the hospital when I was admitted there because of my nut allergy this afternoon (damn you cashew nut oil!). The nurses were really nice and basically let me do whatever I wanted to and even put on a film for me since I was pretty much the only person there :)
In the end, I was released early since I had already recovered within the first 2 hours and they saw no point in keeping me there for another 2 since they could see I was already fine and had been for the past 2 hours. Which, if you lost track, meant I only stayed in for 4 hours instead of 6. Although I do now have to take steriods (idk) for 2 days and have an appointment with the allergy clinic later.
Oh, and the writing on the bigger crane? It’s an extremely paraphrased chapter of the A Clash a Kings. And when I say paraphrased, I mean I opened it at a random page and then started copying that out. Got bored and made up the rest :D
I hope they liked them!
One last thing, I tried to time myself making a crane too to see how quickly I could do it and it was roughly 1 minute 30 seconds since my stopwatch thing on my phone stopped working halfway through :(
Just going to go ahead and reblog it onto this tumblr as well because I feel like this is relevant to my personal tumblr as well as just origami!
All folds, no glue.

I’m trying to work out how this might work. It’s not going well.
Origami Cranes made from dumpling dough.
Yesterday, I spent my time doing this after we had been rolling out the dough and making dumplings for dinner, which as it turns out is a good way to release stress! I think they turned out pretty well! Except for a failure made by my sister! (But that one’s not here)
In lieu of a Christmas tree this year, I made my own!
Guess what I’ve been doing all day?
That’s right. Mass producing these at sell at Doki Doki for tomorrow!
Ah!! I’m so excited!
Though I might not want to see another piece of origami paper for a while afterwards…
cranes united.
I need to try this one day
